复合型除臭剂,即将两种或两种以上具有不同除臭功能的物质进行混合,在功能上达到互补的作用,能够更好地解决有机固体废物处理工程中所面临的臭气成分复杂、气量大等难题将天然沸石和硫酸亚铁混合后制成一种高效除臭材料获得专利。它主要是利用硫酸亚铁抑制畜粪的发酵和分解,而沸石又能使该化合物的吸湿性稳定,从而可以取得良好的除臭效果。对污泥处理工程而言,高效、复合型除臭剂是除臭技术行业未来的发展趋势。

就污泥高温好氧发酵工程而言,发酵过程中产生的气体恶臭成分中氨的浓度最高,其次是Hs;甲硫醇的臭气强度最大;而主要臭气成分中,含硫化合物的种类占多数。这些臭味物质大多浓度较低,且嗅阈值也极低。值得注意的是:这些物质都带有活性基团,容易发生化学反应,特别是被氧化,当活性基团被氧化后,气味就消失。因此,除臭材料的发展趋势是如何筛选合理的氧化剂并用于臭气的源头控制。选择的除臭剂应具有氧化势强、不影响微生物活性、不造成二次污染等特点。

在氧化剂混合的方式上也需要进行研究。对于固态的氧化剂,需保证短时间内逸散的大量恶臭气体能够在氧化剂表层有足够的停留时间,完成臭气的去除。对于液体氧化剂,混入堆体时会提高堆料含水率、增加物料的湿度。
