The three enterprises under Tangshan Iron and Steel Group are all large backbone steel enterprises with early factory construction in China. Tanggang was founded in 1943 and is known as the "hometown of converters". It is also one of the earliest enterprises in China to successfully apply continuous casting technology to large-scale industrial production. After the reform and opening up, Tangsteel has continuously accelerated its development pace and entered the top ten steel companies in the country. Xuangang was founded in 1919. During the planned economy period, it was a designated national pig iron supply base and also trained a large number of professional technical talents in mining and pig iron smelting for the metallurgical industry. Under the conditions of a market economy, Xuansteel has risen and achieved rapid development in adversity, becoming one of the key national steel enterprises. Chenggang is one of the 156 key projects established by the country in 1954. It has been committed to the development and utilization of vanadium titanium magnetite resources and the industrialization process of related scientific research achievements. It is the birthplace of blast furnace smelting technology for vanadium titanium magnetite in China and the largest vanadium containing steel production base in the north.
