随着城市规模的不断扩大,城市污水处理厂从原来的市郊向市区迁移,处理厂恶臭气体严重影响着污水厂员工的工作环境,同时也对周围居民的生活环境造成了不好的影响。随著人们环保意识的增强,要求也逐步提高,从原来的污水处理达标逐步过渡到水固气全部达标,以改善人民生活环境。

 

废水处理厂的臭气主要来自于进水端、预处理区域及污泥处理工艺,主要分布在进水口、粗格栅上,在沉沙池及污泥脱水车间,污水在处理过程中,因进水含有大量有机污染物,易产生臭气,而处理过程中,生物池混合液与空气搅拌、充氧时也会产生臭气。淤泥臭气主要由污泥脱水、堆存和外运过程产生,臭气中含有氨、硫化氢、甲硫醇等有害有毒气体,未经处理会对人体、环境及设备造成危害。

 

臭气污染物大多是常见的,且有局部无组织排放。由于污染时间短、突发、难捕捉,加上恶臭传播方式复杂,目前国内外尚无公认的评估方法,因此目前国内外尚无公认的恶臭评价方法。毒气对人体的生理影响通常与其浓度成正比,而恶臭给人的感受量,即臭味强度与人体的刺激量即臭味的物质浓度的对数成正比。

 

生活污水厂除臭已成为污水处理厂运行的达标排放,对污泥进行减量化处理和处置,引起人们关注。污水处理厂增设除臭设备后,不仅改善了周围居民的生活、居住条件,并在很大程度上降低了臭气对污水厂设备设施的腐蚀。
