填料既是生物滤池中微生物生长的载体,又是气、液交换的介质,因此填料是生物滤池的核心设备之一。填充材料的种类和特性对臭气的去除有重要影响,而一般理想的填充材料都具有以下特性:

生物滤池

高比表面积,为微生物提供了较大的生长附着面积;青蛙

表面湿润性好,滤料还需有一定持水能力,为微生物生长提供适宜的液体环境。

具有一定的机械强度;

具有一定的抗腐蚀性;

材料便宜,而且很容易买到。通常,生物滤池的填料分为有机填料和无机填料,有机填料本身含有有机养分,可为微生物生长提供养分,无机填料不含养分,但其结构良好,耐腐蚀性强,可连续使用,需要适时喷洒有机养分,为微生物生长提供必需的养分和液体环境。有机质填料主要为土质、泥炭、木屑等,无机填料主要为石子、竹炭、木炭、陶粒、火山石、塑料等。

这两种常用填充剂的一些特点如下:

陶瓷颗粒:主要由粘土制成,为不规则球形颗粒,内部有微小的孔隙,具有比表面积大、孔隙率高、吸附性好、价格低廉等优点。但是它有一个明显的缺点,即气体阻力大,容易形成壁流,而填充物的中心容易产生厌氧区。拉西环:主要由陶瓷、不锈钢、塑料等材料制成,环形等径圆环或环形环形隔8板形成十字环形环,优点是形状简单,易成型,缺点也同样明显,主要是阻力大,通气量小,且形成沟流、壁流严重。波尔环.?以陶瓷、不锈钢和塑料为主要材料,侧壁为切口,呈舌状圆圆入环,气阻降低,可改善液态分布,但存在比表面积小、孔隙率低以及不易挂膜等缺点。阶梯环:主要由陶瓷、不锈钢、塑料等材料制成,环高为直径的一半以上,一端向外,优点是填料个体之间有点接触,可使液膜不断更新,具有压强小,传质速度高,但气孔少,不易挂膜等优点。
