污水处理厂恶臭是一种成分极其复杂的高浓度气体。为了探求高效低耗的处理方法,国内外学者进行了大量的研究,取得了一些突破性的成果。其中部分已成功地运用于污水处理厂。但由于恶臭物质的复杂性和污水处理厂恶臭浓度变化大的特殊性,恶臭物质的处理还存在一些急待解决的问题。本文在总结国内污水处理厂恶臭治理现状的基础上,从经济效益、环境效益和社会效益3方面,对恶臭处理的发展方向进行了探讨,重点探讨高浓度恶臭处理和深度处理的新型技术。

污水处理厂恶臭的特征

污水处理厂的恶臭主要来源于污水和污泥处理。污水、污泥处理处置工艺不同,产生的恶臭成分和浓度也不同。

一般情况下,短泥龄工艺(如常规曝气工艺)恶臭产量高于长泥龄工艺(如氧化沟),厌氧工艺高于好氧工艺。在污水处理过程中,当污水中溶解氧很少或为零时,细菌将污水中硫酸盐还原成亚硫酸盐和硫化物,进而生成硫化氢气体。而污水中的固体颗粒经过厌氧消化和好氧消化产生大量的氨气。正常pH值条件下,氨气在水中溶解度较大,但当pH值升高时,氨气极易挥发,因此在使用苛性碱作为调节剂的污泥处理过程中产生的氨气浓度通常很高。
