不同规模的生物滤池,其最佳生物量的控制方法不同。对于小型生物滤池(横截面积为0.004~0.015m2),回流水冲洗法的效果较佳;而对于大型生物滤池(横截面积>0.09m2),搅拌法的效果较优。回流水洗法对生物量的去除率随着洗涤温度(30~60℃)的增加而增大;回流碱洗较回流水洗可更快地去除多余的生物量,但是滤池恢复稳定的时间较长。
